Magpul has grown since it’s inception to be a highly respected company that designs and manufactures high-tech polymer and composite firearms accessories (think… M-LOK). The company continues to expand its product offerings, which now include gloves, eyewear, field pouches, and more!
Richard M. Fitzpatrick, a U.S. Marine Corps Force Recon Sergeant, founded Magpul Industries in 1999 in Colorado. The first product the company produced was a Magazine Puller, or as the company describes it: “a simple device to aid in the manipulation of rifle magazines while reloading under stress”. It is from this product that the company derived its name.
In 2007, the company expanded to include two branches. Magpul Industries focuses on firearm accessory manufacturing and Magpul Core (originally named Magpul Dynamics) offers firearms training and instructional videos. In 2014, after the passage of a new Colorado magazine capacity law, the company relocated its production facilities to Wyoming and its corporate offices to Austin, Texas.
The company’s line of accessories, polymer magazines, and gun parts primarily focus on AR-15/M16/M4 family of rifles, AK-47 rifles, and Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 shotgun families. The production also expanded to include rifle chassis for the Remington 700, Ruger 10/22 and Ruger American Rifle. The company also produces magazines and accessories for Glock pistols.
In recent years, the company has expanded production to other kinds of products as well. The DAKA line offers durable storage options from wallets to field pouches. They also offer rifle slings, sights, gloves, and even tactical eyewear.
Breach-Bang-Clear has several articles about the company for our readers to enjoy. We plan on more as they continue to release great new products for the industry.
Magpul’s so-called “briefcase gun” (originally the FMG9) is back. They and Zev Technologies are releasing the FDC and FDP.
Sunglasses turn an ugly mug into a slightly less ugly mug. Here are three of my favorite tactical sunglasses for this Threesome Thursday.
For Threesome Thursday, we’ve got drums for everyone. Drums for 308 shooters, drums for AR owners, and even a drum for Glock owners.
Olive Drab, much like woodland camo, has that old-school cool feeling with it. However, some olive drab things differ from the Woodland camo in that they don’t draw a ton of attention and have become a bit more mainstream. Here are some not-so-drab EDC items that won’t break the bank.
Magpul Glock mags are available now for a number of different pistol frames, in a variety of capacities. Here’s some info and Magpul Glock mag reviews.
The Magpul AK Zhukov stock and handguards were released back in 2015. There have been many more badass AK accessories coming from Magpul (and others!) since then.
His Lordship Ser Alexander Crown has started a YouTube Channel; here's a look at the very first video. In it, he discusses what we'll call the "Six C Survival Rifle," those Cs, of course, being the 5 Cs of survival (Cutting tools, Combustion, Cover, Cordage, and...
Magpul has come a long way from modified rubber bands for your magazines, but I admit that their clothing line took me by surprise. Stocks, magazines, sights—yeah, that's what we're used to. Soft goods? Color me skeptical. Or cautiously optimistic. Earlier this year I...
The Magpul X22 for the Ruger 10/22 platform is a U.S.A.-made stock that will likely please everyone but the old-timey, wood stock lovers out there.
