SilencerCo has released its first modular rifle can: the Omega 36M. Based on the SilencerCo Omega can for long guns, and the Omega 9K this iteration is a surprisingly user-friendly, two-piece modular suppressor design that is both rifle- and pistol-rated.
The outer tube is Titanium, with a locking ring, front module and rear core are fully welded, and the front “Charlie” mounting system is an updated toolless front cap that allows easier changes and additional noise mitigation (total decibel reduction varies upon weapon and ammunition).
As something that’s able to subdue everything from 9mm pistols to magnum rifles up to .338 Lapua, we reckon this is a lightweight centerfire can to be a great starter can for someone who isn’t in the financial condition to do lots of big-time stamp collecting.
That’s 9mm up to .338 Lapua in both long and short configurations.
What a slut.

Suppressor Design Inspiration and Performance
The 36M obviously takes its design cues from the eponymous series, and so has a similar baffle configuration to the Omega in the short portion, and a resemblance to the Omega 9K in the extended version. On rifles (in its long configuration), it’s comparable in performance to the Omega 300 and, in the short configuration (on pistols) provides sound mitigation superior to the 9K.
Note: You can make it longer if you want, but the girth is fixed. Sorry ’bout that.
Something important to note when it comes to setting up the Omega 36M is its simplicity. Hell, the end caps could be removed by a window-licker with a Chuck E. Cheese token if need be. (Ask Morrow how he knows.)
Omega 36M Official
From the release:
SilencerCo. One Suppressor. Omega 36M.
556 Nato, 338 Lapua, 9mm and the List Goes On…
Introducing the Omega 36M, a light, compact, full-auto rated modular centerfire rifle suppressor with the versatility to use on magnum rifles, 9mm pistols, and sub-guns.
The Omega 36M is a two-piece modular design with a fully welded core, front, and rear. The rear core contains Cobalt 6 and Inconel baffles which provide extreme wear resistance under high heat and heavy fire. The front core consists of a new lightweight 17-4 baffle design to save weight while still providing high wear resistance. The titanium outer tube with lock-ring prevents tube loosening and reduces weight. The 36M is finished with a black Cerakote for a heightened level of durability.
The Omega 36M ships with the Charlie ASR mount and is compatible with all SilencerCo Charlie style mounting systems. The updated Charlie front cap allows for tool-less removal and the rear Charlie mounting system provides a better mount to suppressor retention.
