It won’t be too much longer before you can play Aliens Fireteam Elite 2. And by not too much longer, we mean a matter of days. Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 is scheduled for release on 25 August. Some of our crew will prob’ly be playing it, though we’re not sure yet who.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (AFE2)

The latest Colonial Marines game is co-op, allowing you to drop up to four players into the “…most hostile corners of the Alien universe.”

Here’s a showcase trailer for the official co-op mode. Lots of Xenos, slaughter, and mayhem in this…which is exactly how we like it.

They call it a “bigger bug hunt,” which is pretty much all we want from any game with Colonial Marines in it. Oh, and it’s cross-platform, which is something we also prefer in a game with Colonial Marines in it.

AFE2 Release Date

The Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 release date is August 25th, 2026 (or it was, depending on when you read this). That release will be for Xbox Series X/s, PlayStation 5 (PS5), the Epic Games Store, and on Steam. AEF2 will also be available for Nintendo Switch 2 sometime later in the fall of 2026.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Alien universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war.

The game offers five classes, multiple build options, enemies that learn and adapt to your tactics, weapon customization, and more. Classes include Duelist, Marauder, Machinist, Hunter, and Medic, plus an unlockable sixth class in the form of the Specialist.

This is the first trailer we saw (though maybe not the first one released). This is the “Official Reveal.”
