Years ago, Discovery started Shark Week. Sharknados aside, we have nothing against sharks. We just like tanks and AFVs better.
We’re all interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles, from the earliest incarnations of H.G. Wells’ “Land Ironclad” to the most current Main Battle Tank.

We read up on the history and are interested in how tank armor holds up in Mosul, Raqqa, and Marawi. We play World of Tanks, watch movies about AFVs, and enjoy armored vehicle-related fiction, from Buettner’s Overkill to (duh) Hammer’s Slammers.
It seems only reasonable that we dedicate a week or so to armored fighting vehicle-related topics every year or two. Hopefully, our readers agree.
