Primary Arms Optics | SLx Gen III Prism Scopes with ACSS Reticles

There’s no denying it, 2020 is scoping up—pun intended—to be one strange year. But what makes a bad day, week, month (or at this point, probably year) better? Well, learning one of your favorite companies is shipping a new product! In this case, it’s Primary Arms optics. They’ve officially announced they’re shipping the all-new SLx GEN III Prism Scope lineup with a Primary Arms ACSS option.

Integrating a New Mounting System and Primary Arms ACSS Reticles

If that doesn’t get your panties a little wet, Primary Arms tells us the optics integrate an all-new mounting system with new reticles—including the ACSS Aurora. An upgrade to the previous SLx 3x and 5x Prism Optics.

Our Prism Scopes have set the standard in the category, and we’ve just made them even stronger.

We’re also told this is one of your lighter options, compared to mounted LPVOs, weighing in at 18.4 oz.

Even better, this particular optic has an integrated Picatinny rail section, which Primary Arms intended for allowing a vertically offset red dot.

Now, what is it that’s so special about the ACSS Aurora option. Well, it’s a metric-based BDC and apparently made for precision holds out to 800 meters.

The optic also received a gold medal rating by the National Training Officers Association (NTOA) and is recommended for duty use.

What’s that rating mean exactly? And how did this optic gain such a recommendation? Well, we’re told, NTOA bases their optics ratings on real-world performance, evaluating products by their build quality, ease-of-use, design features, and practicality for law enforcement operations. And out of a possible 5 points, the SLx 5X received 4.52.

We’re proud to see that this year’s new products performed well with the National Tactical Officers Association. Law Enforcement is one of our highest priorities in developing new products that exceed expectations. The NTOA’s ratings confirm that we’re bringing professional-grade quality and technology at consumer-friendly pricing.

Primary Arms SLx 3x32mm Gen III Prism Scope

If the 5×36 is a bit out of your price range or more capable than what you’re needing, the 3×32 might be a better fit.

If the $289.99 price doesn’t impress you, maybe the forgiving eyebox, fully-reengineered factory mount, ACSS reticle, and NTOA duty-use recommendation will.

How do you improve upon an already strong line of Prism Scopes? Make them even stronger and add a proven reticle to the mix.
