Just when you think Kydex has reached a saturation point, you come across an item you gotta have. The Bad Habit from High Order Tactical is your very own dip can holster. (Or Zyn if you’re all the rage…)
The Bad Habit is available in “tactical” colors – Black, OD Green …FDE coming soon, and “not tactical at all” – Blaze Orange, Hot Pink, Blood Red, and Hi-Vis Zombie Green, and will attach with a variety of options:
Tek-Lok Belt (by Bladetech) – very durable… slight added cost, a MOLLE Mount (also by Bladetech) to attach to your kit and quickly move to another carry option, an Ulti-Clip – wear it with your favorite athletic attire, belt, yoga pants, etc, or a Tegris Belt Clip – made by High Order. This strip of laser-cut material can be hard mounted to a belt, etc. Less expensive, but not as easy to move from kit to kit.
According to High Order, the Bad Habit is the perfect blend of calm and combat-ready; you can’t always be ready to pop smoke. Individual results will, of course, vary.
The Bad Habit retails for $37.75 for the Tactical and $35.75 for Not Tactical At All.
Currently in development from High Order is an aluminum can that will fully conceal the contents of your “product” while fitting snugly in to the Bad Habit. This is intended for those who cannot have an exposed piece of “non-essential” gear or who just have uptight supervisors.
High Order Tactical is owned and operated by a current LEO / SWAT Operator / Breacher in the Pacific NW who also served in the US Marine Corps. Because of this, orders may take a while to ship. Because it’s a one-man show, he’s a full-time Cop… and Marines are sometimes slower than others. But I digress – this is a cool company with some truly innovative products.
In addition to the Bad Habit, High Order also makes cool kit for Breachers, K9 Teams and others looking to upgrade their tacticool ensemble: holsters for Key Fobs, Sharpies, and Radios. They even make a magnetic/Kydex retention system for a breaching shotgun.
Visit their site and take a look at their full complement of gear, or get your very own Kydex dip can holster – If you have an idea for them, drop an email: hotsgear @ gmail.com.
