Military helmets have gone through dozens of changes over the years in every country. Each has distinct features to the time and place they were worn, and some even had brims integrated into the helmet itself. This addition seems like a smart choice on the surface. However, few (if any) units use those models anymore. Almost all modern helmets have a completely smoothed-over, rounded design. This design offers no sun protection, which can lead to layering baseball caps or other solutions, few of which are much of a solution at all. It’s even worse when rain or snow decide to be their worst–it only makes working out in the field harder when there’s nothing to keep your line of sight clear. And that’s why we like the idea of a tactical helmet visor.
Nutsof has created the perfect replacement for layering your hat and helmet. As you can see, the helmet Brim doesn’t get in the way but still gives extra shade. The Brim isn’t a ballistic helmet visor, but it is useful. [Photo credit: Nutsof via Nutsof.com]
