At long last, they have arrived — House Morningwood lower receivers. Each Morningwood weapon in the making is a superbly made and flawlessly designed AR lower, engraved by the master artisans of House Badmoon with the Morningwood sigil and the greatest fire control group markings in the history of modern weaponry.
Wrought of our secret “Morningwood Metal” (a rare alloy of Beskar1 and Valyrian Steel2) by the finest smiths in the world, each custom AR lower has been incised with matchless precision by the team of Anderson3, Noye4, and Montoya5 under the direction of Lord Jon Badmoon. Once completed, each has been adorned with intricate designs intaglio by Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez of Spain6, thus allowing its wielder to display the arms of House Morningwood7 in all their glory.
These prized lowers, with all attendant ensorcellments, investitures, and inlaid dweomer-craft are available only to those who have raised their banner for Morning Wood: to wit, those who back us on Patreon.
Lowers are available in black, burnt bronze, Flat Dark Earth, Tungsten, and Noveske-style Bazooka Green. Half a hundred other colors are also available but require advising the smiths ahead of time. Lord Badmoon, HMFIC of the House Morningwood rifle project, says,
“Let our bannermen know that if they want handguards, buffer tubes, and other parts Cerakoted to match, or prefer some fancy-ass camo pattern or distressed ‘battleworn’ stuff to holler at me directly and I’ll get ’em hooked up stupid inexpensively.”
What is a Stripped Lower Receiver?
A so-called “stripped lower receiver” is not an 80% lower. Rather, it’s a serialized lower receiver completed by the manufacturer (in this case Badmoon Armory – Cerakote Kentucky!). A stripped lower requires an FFL to ship/sell and is subject to all laws and regulations pertaining to Federal Firearms License transfers.
What is House Morningwood?
House Morningwood is a self-proclaimed noble house that runs the Tactical Buyers Club (“the bazaar“). It is the face and blog of the Mad Duo’s Breach-Bang-Clear Patreon account.
Patreon is a crowdfunding program through which our readers can help us stay in business — think Kickstarter or GoFundMe, but as a small ongoing monthly pledge to help keep someone like us in business. We based our Patreon program after a Game of Thrones-style great house, with our own sigil and words and our own sworn swords: including lords, knights, and wretched smallfolk.
Patreon: back the bang
You’ll be glad you did. So will we, probably even more so (at least once we start spending your money).
1 Beskar is also called Mandalorian iron. What’re you living under a rock?
2 Valyrian steel is forged with the help of dragons in the Valyrian Freehold. Duh.
3 Milo Ivan Anderson of MHI. You know, the guy who built Abomination.
4 Donal Noye’s the one-armed dude who smithed for Stannis Baratheon and forged King Robert’s warhammer (and really put a hurtin’ on Mag the Mighty).
5 Domingo Montoya is only one of the greatest swordsmiths of all time. You’ve heard of him, even if you don’t think you have.
6 Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez was chief metallurgist to King Charles V before he started working for us.
7 The sigil of House Morningwood features a spear, upright behind a rising sun, with two blue roundels at the base of the haft. The symbolism is important.
