If you’re a designated pipe hitter who wears NODs most of your working “day,” Leupold has two new pistol optics perfectly dialed for your snake-eatin’ ways.
Tuned specifically for “modern night vision devices” (whatever that means), the new DP Pro NVs come in two colors — Flat Dark Earth and Black.
As Leupold puts it:
Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear riflescopes and reflex sights, is pleased to announce that its popular DeltaPoint Pro reflex sight line is expanding, with the addition of two new models optimized for use with advancing night vision technologies.
Available in both a Matte and Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish, the DeltaPoint Pro Night Vision (NV) supports modern night vision devices by utilizing two new illumination settings that fine tune the red dot to match the sensitivity of your equipment. While the original DeltaPoint Pro works great with legacy night vision devices, the DP Pro NV adds flexibility for all systems including the most advanced technologies.

Ten brightness settings are featured, whereas the standard DP Pro features eight. The DP Pro NV’s two lowest brightness settings and highest singular brightness setting can be fine-tuned incrementally.
Look, the DP Pro is probably the gold standard of pistol red dots. While the Trijicon RMR is probably the Grandaddy of them all, the DP Pro takes it to another level of ruggedness, clarity, and field of view. And oh yeah, SOCOM’s sportin’ ’em…so shouldn’t you?
NV compatibility is good and about time, but the Delta Point Pros are ridiculously fragile in the field IME. Just about all pistol RDS’s are, but the DP Pro is one of the worst. Had 5 that broke on me in a 6 mo period. If they weren’t free replacements I would have ditched the DP Pro long before then. RMRs are a bit better. The latest Holosun’s are reportedly pretty good but we’ll see.
