As much as we like all the bewb stuff on social media, we spend an awful lot of time looking at accounts that can teach us things. And there are a lot of those. An example of that is seen below. It’s intended for those with a Tanker MOS (19K MOS, 91A MOS, and probably, tangentially at least, some others). This hip-pocket guide to building crew competence comes to you from the IG account @Main_Battle_Memes (q.v.). We figured since @tankersofficial spoke highly of it, it’s probably good to go.*
This is a great resource, so we’re sharing it with our readers. Hopefully you (and they) approve.
Battlesight: 19K MOS Gunnery Term
From the post author: “To my tankers, I promised a post to help educate on battlesight usage, so I hope this helps. My goal with this is to help tankers across the Army better understand battlesight instead of just assuming it’s used to manually change range from the CDU.
If you see I missed something please see the last slide for disclaimers. I will not go over how to calculate a battlesight distance because that goes over too many specific characteristics of 120mm ammo. For my TCs and gunners out there, if this is the first time you’re hearing about it, please consult HBCT/your master gunner to learn more.
Please educate your tankers.
If you don’t believe this works, next time you’re in AGTS, practice any of the battlesight scenarios. It works wonders.
Thank you for reading. Stay smart, stay lethal!

Told you it was good stuff, didn’t we?
*We’d ask our resident former tanker, but he’s busy taking pretty pictures these days as “Houston Combat Photography.”
