Things We Want to See

There are a lotta good movies coming out soon…well, they look good. Wonder Woman is hitting theaters, Spider Man is inbound, and American Assassin, Megan Leavey, and The Mummy. Those seem interesting enough, but we’ve been watching trailers for some other flicks that haven’t gotten the same amount of attention as some of the bigger Hollywood productions. We’ll run through a few of those below. Mad Duo

Things We Want to See

First up, one of our most favorite hard guys ever — Sam Elliot. He plays an aging Western film star facing the twilight of his days, and does so with as much panache as gravitas. Take a look.

Then there’s Baby Driver. Not Baby like you don’t leave her in the corner, Baby like the youngest member of a badass cast in an action flick we’re actually kinda excited about. Check this out, see what you think.

Now, an unusual sort of “behind the scenes” look at Winston Churchill in the days leading up to Operation Overlord (the D-Day landings at Normandy). It may lack the special effects of the Wonder Woman movie, but it damn sure looks just as compelling.

So, that’s what we’re thinking about watching – what about you?

They all look good, but Churchill was the one that grabbed me. Most people aren’t aware that, after reluctantly agreeing to it, he opposed the Normandy operation right up until it was launched.

Churchill looks like the best of them. I’ve sometimes wondered how that man didn’t lose his mind.
