Magpul has grown since it’s inception to be a highly respected company that designs and manufactures high-tech polymer and composite firearms accessories (think… M-LOK). The company continues to expand its product offerings, which now include gloves, eyewear, field pouches, and more!
Company History
Richard M. Fitzpatrick, a U.S. Marine Corps Force Recon Sergeant, founded Magpul Industries in 1999 in Colorado. The first product the company produced was a Magazine Puller, or as the company describes it: “a simple device to aid in the manipulation of rifle magazines while reloading under stress”. It is from this product that the company derived its name.
In 2007, the company expanded to include two branches. Magpul Industries focuses on firearm accessory manufacturing and Magpul Core (originally named Magpul Dynamics) offers firearms training and instructional videos. In 2014, after the passage of a new Colorado magazine capacity law, the company relocated its production facilities to Wyoming and its corporate offices to Austin, Texas.
Magpul Products
The company’s line of accessories, polymer magazines, and gun parts primarily focus on AR-15/M16/M4 family of rifles, AK-47 rifles, and Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 shotgun families. The production also expanded to include rifle chassis for the Remington 700, Ruger 10/22 and Ruger American Rifle. The company also produces magazines and accessories for Glock pistols.
In recent years, the company has expanded production to other kinds of products as well. The DAKA line offers durable storage options from wallets to field pouches. They also offer rifle slings, sights, gloves, and even tactical eyewear.
Breach-Bang-Clear has several articles about the company for our readers to enjoy. We plan on more as they continue to release great new products for the industry.

Magpul… Shirts? Review of the Magpul Rainey
Magpul has come a long way from modified rubber bands for your magazines, but I admit that their clothing line took me by surprise. Stocks, magazines, sights—yeah, that's what we're used to. Soft goods? Color me skeptical. Or cautiously optimistic. Earlier this year I...
