Friday Fundamentals -Keep your tape loops short (part 5)

As seen on Tactical Professor.

One word is best.

As much as I like the

“You look familiar. You got any warrants?”

method, last night I defaulted to ‘No’ when I was approached last night by a female panhandler in the Publix parking lot. Because I keep my head up, I saw the encounter coming.

“Something, something, car, homeless.”

“No.”

“What?”

“No.”

“Okay.” She then walked away.

I didn’t say it in an ugly way, just very firmly. The power of a firm ‘No’ is very strong.

Just Say No Firmly

I also had my pepper spray in hand in case things went any further.

“If you don’t own a rifle, you’re wrong. Doesn’t matter what caliber, even .22 Long Rifle such as a Marlin 60, own one. Have some basic idea of how to use it and practice periodically.” Claude Werner

We met up with Werner at the NRA Convention in Atlanta and asked him to smile.

I grew up in California, where homelessness of people who are not Native Californians, is rampant due to the temperature, lax laws, and opportunistic social net. I’ve developed this same strategy to panhandlers. They want money and I already give them money through more effective and less direct routes. Saying you don’t have any money on you or ignoring them gives them the impression your lies are necessary because YOU are the guilty party and they are the victim.
