Banging SHOT – SHOT Show 2017

The 39th Annual NSSF SHOT Show (SHOT 2017) is behind us. It was the second-highest attended SHOT since the show began. An estimated 64,991 industry professionals from over 100 countries attended, plus nine of us Breach Bang Clear writers (from three countries and one zoo). Our journey began January 14th with meetings, moved on to the Sig Sauer and Machine Guns Vegas range days on Sunday, then to the NSSF Range Day on Monday, andĀ thenĀ on to the show proper. From 17 to 20 January we prowled acres and acres of interesting gear, weapons, and people.

Keep an eye on the Instagramz and the Book of Face for hashtag #bangingshot17. We’re still having fun with it.

As the NSSF reports it,

“There were thousands of products for buyers to see on the show floor, encompassing firearms, ammunition, accessories, optics, knives, gun safes, apparel and law enforcement equipment, among other categories. More than 500 new products from 338 companies were on display in the show’s New Product Center, sponsored by U.S. Concealed Carry Association. In addition to the more than 1,600 exhibiting companies on the main show floors, the NEXT 2.0 Pavilion provided first-time vendors from the show’s extensive waiting list with welcome visibility and potential new customers.”

Planning and prep for SHOT Show 2018, the convention’s 40th anniversary, have begun. It is scheduled for 23-26 JAN 2018. We will be there, banging away.

Here’s a look at some of last week.
